2. It is taken to the workbench, where I completely dismantle it and clean out the dust which causes over-heating issues leading to more severe problems (or even renders your laptop useless!).

3. After it has been re-assembled, I then make a temporary backup of your important files such as photo's, video's and music*

4. Your Windows operating system is completely re-installed to get your laptop running like new again.**

5. I install the latest Windows updates, plus essential programs such as Flash Player / Adobe Reader and a great free anti-virus etc., so that you can start surfing again without being nagged about missing plug-ins.***

6. Your important files are put back on again, and to finish the job off nicely we'll even give your screen a good polish!

7. As an optional extra, you can have a FREE 3 month subscription to Livedrive online backup (worth £14.85). It's a "no obligation" free trial but if you decide to keep it going I will charge just £1.00 per month compared to the usual cost of £4.95. Details of how to redeem this are given to you when your laptop is returned.****

8. Returned to you (in most cases) less than 24 hours from when it was collected.

* Please note that if you use an email client such as Thunderbird or Outlook, it is your own responsibilty to back this up. Webmail such as Hotmail & Gmail is not affected, so long as you know your password to log in again. Also, only files in obvious folders such as My Documents, My Pictures etc. are backed up, so make sure that all of your important files are in those.
** Genuine Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 is installed using your original licence key.
*** WMR Computers recommends and uses Microsoft Security Essentials. If you have a preferred anti-virus solution you must un-install this from within the control panel before attempting to install another.
**** £4.95 per month is the current price as charged by Livedrive themselves for this service (correct at 19/07/11). If you decide to subscribe via WMR Computers, then the services will still be provided by Livedrive, but you will remain a customer of WMR Computers and be charged at our standard rate (Just £1.00 per month).
